The Team
The purpose of the Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) team is to grow the William Fry business and enhance our brand within the Irish and International markets. Our team is responsible for all aspects of the marketing mix and supports the partnership on business development and commercial opportunities.
Job Purpose
The events team play a central role in our BD&M team's purpose. Our team manages our external and internal client events along with key internal conferences / events for our William Fry people. The team also oversees all our client hospitality and event sponsorships programs.
The successful candidate will support the Events & Sponsorship manager in the successful delivery of our annual plan and will work closely with colleagues both in our BD&M team and across the Firm, as well as external agencies and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Live event management: Planning, organisation, set up and execution of seminars, corporate hospitality, and client entertainment events. All administrative aspects of 'live events', including full ownership of registration process, including post-event review, CPD certificates and more.
- Agency management: Managing external agency / supplier relationships in the delivery of selected events. This includes AV, printing, and venues.
- Sponsorship: Reviewing & sourcing corporate sponsorship opportunities and management of high-profile membership activities.
- Corporate hospitality: Developing and managing targeted hospitality initiatives both in house and externally. All administration tasks essential; including guest list support, Food & Beverage selection, table layout and printing.
- General administration: Manage all the invoices, payments and ad-hoc requests relating to events, while also supporting the wider BD&M team with additional requests.
- Merchandise management: Managing all merchandise collateral.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years’ experience in event and hospitality management.
- Experience of managing agencies / external suppliers.
- Experience working on event marketing campaigns.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel etc.).
- Experience in managing basic IT and audio equipment at events (e.g. microphones, slide show set up, Zoom calls, etc.).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritise appropriately.
- Work well under pressure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player with a can-do attitude.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
Additional desirable requirements
* Good knowledge of Database Management Systems, experience with 'InterAction' is an advantage.
* Previous experience working in a 'Professional Services' firm.
* Creative design skills/interests.
* Copy writing experience (e.g. Email marketing).
