William Fry LLP are seeking a project manager / legal technologist to join a new digital and innovation group. The firm is looking to recruit an individual to fulfil a hybrid role that consists of a project manager / legal technologist. This individual will be central in delivering internal and external digital services projects. The successful candidate will initially report to the IT Director and will work closely with the firm's senior project manager. An aptitude for legal technology is an essential prerequisite for this role, as the successful candidate will operate in a hybrid capacity as a legal technologist alongside their project management duties. The ability to swiftly comprehend and proficiently use the firm's legal technology solutions will be pivotal in achieving successful project outcomes.
The Role:
Project Management:
- -Assisting in developing and implementing project plans, including scope, timeline, budget and resource allocation.
- -Gathering and documenting requirements, identify potential solutions, and recommend changes to improve project outcomes.
- -Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met and stakeholders are satisfied with the project outcomes.
- -Monitoring project progress and risks and developing contingency plans as needed.
- -Communicating project status and changes to project stakeholders and managing their expectations.
- -Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
- -Facilitating team meetings and guiding project team members to achieve project goals.
- -Supporting the senior project manager in conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement that will improve future projects.
- -Staying current with industry trends and best practices around project management.
- -Ensuring security standards for ISO 27001 are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Legal Technologist (working with legal technology applications)
- -Setting up, configuring and managing client portal sites with appropriate access.
- -Setting up, configuring and managing virtual data rooms for specific client projects.
- -Working collaboratively within a matrix structure with a newly formed digital and innovation team, designing technology enabled solutions for internal and external client-facing projects.
- -Providing technical support (internal and external clients) for the legal technologies within the firm’s portfolio of digital services.
- -Assisting stakeholders in Litigation and Dispute Resolution and other practice areas to deliver eDiscovery, Investigations and DSAR projects.
- -Assisting in delivering internal process optimisation and innovation projects.
- -Staying up to date with current industry trends around legal technologies.
- -Assist with research and testing new applications before moving into a proof-of-concept stage.

- -A project management qualification, e.g., Prince2 or PM (not essential)
- -Experience with legal technologies, such as, HighQ, eDiscovery, due diligence, or document automation (not essential)
